Solve for pace, time, or distance. Pick what you want to find, enter the other two values, and get your running pace plus speed — in miles or kilometers.

What is a pace calculator? A pace calculator works out your running pace, total time, or distance when you know the other two values, and converts pace into speed.
Pace equals total time divided by distance. For example, 30 minutes over 3 miles is 30 divided by 3, which is 10 minutes per mile. Pace is usually written as minutes and seconds per mile or per kilometer.
Speed is the inverse of pace. Divide 60 by your pace in minutes per mile to get miles per hour. A 10 minute per mile pace equals 60 divided by 10, which is 6 miles per hour.
Multiply your pace by the distance. If you run at 8 minutes per mile for 13.1 miles, that is 8 times 13.1, which is about 104.8 minutes, or 1 hour 44 minutes and 48 seconds.
Enter pace in minutes:seconds format, such as 9:30 for nine minutes and thirty seconds per mile. The calculator converts it to decimal minutes internally before doing the math.
