A percentage calculator works out percentages for you. This one covers three common questions: what is X% of a number, what percent one number is of another, and the percent increase or decrease between two values.
Divide the percent by 100 and multiply by the number. For example, 20% of 150 is 0.20 × 150 = 30.
Subtract the old value from the new value, divide by the old value, then multiply by 100. A positive result is an increase and a negative result is a decrease: (new − old) ÷ old × 100.
